Overview
The Fund for Publishing was developed to provide publication support for faculty - to expand readership, improve accessibility, and enhance research productivity.

Award
Awards are limited to a maximum of $2,000 and are subject to availability of funds.
Eligibility
All tenured or tenure-track faculty, as well as Research Assistant/Associate Professors who have not received support from the fund (or FRG grant for similar purpose) in the last two years.
Allowable Costs
Examples of suitable requests include:

Editing or indexing

Copyright fees

Reasonable subvention fees
Unallowable Costs
- Reimbursement of costs incurred prior to submission of the application.
- Funds cannot support journal open access fees. Please see this guidance from LTS on open access and use of the Lehigh archive.
* As of December 14, 2022, design and image production fees for articles selected for journal covers are no longer an eligible expense.
How to Apply
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis via Infoready If your application is awarded, we aim to make publishing funds available within 2-3 weeks from the award date.
You will be asked to provide the following details:

Descriptive title

Name, position and department

Journal/Press name

Brief description of the need and expected outcomes

A specific, itemized budget

Documentation of acceptance by the journal or press. This can be an email, contract, or other correspondence providing clear documentation.
