Enhancing Research Activities
Office of the Vice President and Associate Provost for Research and Graduate Studies
The researcher's sense of continual discovery and our cultivation of the theory-to-practice continuum shape all that we do at Lehigh. The Office of the Vice President and Associate Provost for Research and Graduate Studies is here to champion and support the creative work of our distinguished faculty and capable, inquisitive students. We provide support for our academic community as we seek to have our work shaped by our society's challenges and work to devise solutions to real problems.
Our office works to contribute to a healthy academic environment for original scholarship characterized by rich exchange among disciplines. We strive to support our researchers as they compete for the funding necessary to move ideas forward. And we work collaboratively with departments and offices across the university to expand the scope and reach of our research.
Graduate studies at Lehigh play a vital role in helping to train our next generation of leaders and scholars. In concert with the colleges, we provide support and direction for graduate programs to ensure that graduate students receive a distinctive experience during their time at Lehigh and are prepared to make valuable contributions through their work before and after graduation. We also strive to support involvement in research by undergraduate students, who already benefit from having their education guided by faculty who are, themselves, active seekers of knowledge.
As you explore our web site, whether faculty, student, staff or guest, I welcome your thoughts as to how we can best serve you.
