Research funding

Where do I find information on internal seed grants?

You can find background information and guidelines here and upcoming deadlines here. 

How do I find external funding?

There are a wide variety of resources to find external funding. You can access the PIVOT-RP database here, which allows searches of foundation, fellowship and agency funding.  

Grants.gov offers searches of federal agencies. You can find a variety of other external funding resources here. 

Submitting proposals

I'm submitting a proposal. Where do I start?

Begin by filling out an Intent to Submit.

I have questions about starting my proposal

Contact your contract and grant specialist. You can find a list broken down by department. 

Where can I find information about data management, reference numbers and research policies?

ORSP has a Researcher's Toolbox with all the information you need. 

My research involves human or animal subjects. Where do I start?

Our office of Research Integrity manages the IRB and IACUC process. They can help you get started. 

I have questions about conflict of interest policies.

How do I report my effort?

The federal government requires individuals who are contributing time to a federal sponsored project to report their effort. You can find more details on fulfill this requirement here. 

I have the grant. How do I manage my budget?
